What is osteopathy ?

Osteopathy is a primary care profession.
It is a method of diagnosis, treatment, prevention and rehabilitation.

Osteopathy is based upon principles such as: the body is a unit, structure
and function are interrelated, the body can heal itself and the movement
of fluids is essential to maintain health.

The Osteopath’s aim is to find the cause of the patient’s presentation rather
than just treating the symptoms. By treating the structure, the osteopath restores
the body’s function and therefore allows it to heal itself.
The body should be in a state of balance. Any disruption of balance will lead
to dysfunction.

Osteopaths treat people of all ages, including pregnant and post partum women, babies, children, teenagers, adults and seniors.
